Wycombe captain Joe Jacobson believes that his side’s adaptability could work in Wanderers’ favour in this week’s play-off final.
Throughout the course of the season, the Chairboys have changed their style and formation which has seen them vary from having three at the back with two wingbacks, to playing with the traditional four.
The variations have benefited the Adams Park outfit, as they earned a place in the play-off positions.
Absolute SCENES in that away end! 🤩

The skipper said: “We can change up the way that we play quite easily.
“We have got players that can run the games on their own, and we’ve got a group of players that can all run with each other, as well as trackback and do other work as well.
“The MK Dons game wasn’t just a defensive performance from the defenders, it was by everyone.”
He also believes that promotion will benefit the supporters more than the players, following what happened two seasons ago.

When the club gained a place in the second tier of English football for the first time, no supporters were able to watch the club due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
He continued: “Wycombe have had one year of Championship football and no fans, apart from the two were we had supporters, were allowed to go.
“The fans are desperate to come and see us in the Championship.
Talk to us about this clearance! 😲

“The final is obviously great, but they want to see us in the Championship against one of the biggest clubs in English football.
“As much as the boys want to do it for themselves and for their families, we want to do it for the club and the fans.”
