Wycombe manager Gareth Ainsworth has revealed what he enjoyed the most in Wanderers’ 2-1 away victory at Burton Albion.
Goals from Sam Vokes and Jordan Obita, coupled with Plymouth Argyle’s 5-0 home defeat against Milton Keynes, saw the Chairboys take the last play-off place in League One.

They will now face the side from north Buckinghamshire on May 5 and May 8 respectively, in the first-ever play-off matches between the two clubs.
Speaking to the press after the match, Ainsworth said: “I’ve had some real big final day dramas such as Torquay and Oxford, and Chesterfield, and Wimbledon, and we’ve got some awesome memories.
“But this is right up there.
Two more Buckinghamshire derbies lined up 💪💪 this will mean Wycombe and MK would have faced each other five times this season #Chairboys https://t.co/PXa4lKwaHk

“To see the anticipation and the optimism of the fans at the start of the game, they never stopped signing and my best moment was seeing Jordan Obita’s tap in as it was in front of the fans.

“They loved it and they deserved it.
“I think they’ll remember that for a long time as we’re in the play-offs now which is a lottery, but, I’ll try and tilt it our way.”
The win has extended Wycombe’s unbeaten run to 12 matches, with the victory also being the club’s first at Burton in five attempts.
Their last win at the Pirelli Stadium came in 2010, which was also a 2-1 victory for the Chairboys which Gareth Ainsworth scored in.
