Wycombe Wanderers manager Gareth Ainsworth believes his side’s visit to AFC Wimbledon on Easter Monday will be ‘tough’, despite their opponents' position in the table.

The Dons have not won in 24 consecutive league matches and currently sit in 22nd place, two places and four points off safety.

The odds are in the Chairboys’ favour to defeat the struggling side, but Wimbledon have a very good record against Wandreres, as they have only lost two of the 14 fixtures they have faced one another.

Speaking ahead of their trip to Plough Lane on Easter Monday, the boss said: “I never played at Plough Lane when I was at Wimbledon but it’ll be a fantastic occasion as the fans will travel in huge numbers to get behind us and it’s a must-win for both teams.

“It will be tough.

“We went to Gillingham last week and Neil Harris got his side scrapping for their lives, and AFC Wimbledon have a chance of staying up.
