Wycombe Wanderers remain outside the play-off places following a 0-0 draw at home to top of the table, Rotherham United.
In a first-half that was closely fought, Wanderers had more chances than their opponents but couldn’t find their shooting boots.
On four minutes, Wycombe had two glorious attempts to take the lead, but Jason McCarthy, who was making his 150th appearance in his fourth spell at the club saw his fierce shot get palmed away by Josh Vickers in the Rotherham goal, before Sam Vokes headed over from the resulting corner.

For large parts of the opening half, the ball was played in the middle of the park as both teams fought tirelessly for possession.
Fouls were given, there were many breaks in play, and both goalkeepers were spectators for periods in the opening 45.
However, in the final 10 minutes of the half, both sides had chances to go ahead.
David Stockdale was called into action for the first time as he brilliantly tipped over Michael Smith’s close-range header on 38 minutes, before Sam Vokes had two glorious chances to give Wanderers the lead right on the stroke of half time.
He first saw his half-volley from 15-yards go just over Vickers’ goal before he prodded wide from inside the six-yard box.
Wycombe and Rotherham fans, how do you see it going? #Chairboys #RUFC

In the 20 matches that have been played between the two sides in the Football League, an amazing 13 clean sheets had been kept, which included four in the last four.
And with Rotherham only conceded five league goals away from home all season, it was no shock to see this be goalless at the break.
The Chairboys started off the second half quick out of the traps and really put Rotherham to the test, who were not ready for the Wycombe onslaught of attacks.
Just eight minutes into the half, Wanderers had a huge penalty appeal waved away when it looked like Mehmeti was tripped in the Rotherham box.

It seemed to be a certain spot-kick but Craig Hicks waved away the appeals.
The ball was mainly played in the Millers’ half as Wycombe continued to attack.
Mehmeti forced Vickers into a low save with 20 minutes remaining before Adebayo Akinfenwa, who came on for Vokes, headed into the side netting to the disappointment of the Wanderers fans, who thought he had scored.
38 - Big chance for Rotherham, but @stockogk1313 brilliant tips over Michael Smith's header from point-blank range. Best chance of the match so far. #Chairboys #rufc

🔵 0-0 🔴
Wycombe continued to pile on the pressure as Daryl Horgan’s cross/shot was pushed away by the keeper, before Lewis Wing, who played 20 games for Rotherham last season, smashed the rebound wide from 20-yards.
However, 0-0 it finished as Wycombe remain outside the play-off places.

Wanderers bossed the second half but no goal to show for it. A positive display from the #Chairboys but they remain outside the play-off places.
The result means 14 clean sheets have been kept in the 21 EFL matches between the two sides, which includes five in the last five.
Up next for Gareth Ainsworth’s men is a home match against Fleetwood Town on March 15.
