Ipswich Town boss Paul Cook has praised Wycombe Wanderers after his side defeated the Chairboys 4-1 at Adams Park.
The away team fell behind to a David Wheeler strike before goals from Bersant Celina (two), Macauley Bonne and Wes Burns gave the side from Suffolk all three points.
It was the first win in this fixture in the third meeting between the two sides after two consecutive draws.
Speaking after the match, Cook said: “We knew Wycombe would start well.
“They have got such a strong home record, Gareth has done an outstanding job, he really has, and they put you under immense pressure and we knew that the first 10 to 15 minutes would be difficult and it was.
“But, we had to impose our style on the game and I thought we did that really well in the first half with our passing and I thought we felt to equalise.”
The two sides will meet again in December.
