Despite the excitement a cup run brings, both sides will be fully focussed on promotion this season, with Gareth Ainsworth looking to bounce back to the Championship at the first attempt and Matt Taylor will want to return to the top six following a ninth placed finish last time out. This will likely see changes to the teams that featured on the weekend.

With changes expected, Ainsworth could give Sullay Kaikai his first start for the side since joining in the transfer window out wide, whilst the likes of Alex Samuel and Adebayo Akinfenwa should get minutes following their appearances on the bench in Saturday’s win.
Ex-Exeter midfielder David Wheeler confirmed before the match with Accrington Stanley that he had tested positive for Covid-19, and so will remain unavailable.

Fellow midfielders Dominic Gape and Curtis Thompson are out injured.
Meanwhile for the hosts, former Aston Villa youth defender Callum Rowe could make his debut for the side he joined in the summer. His only appearance last season came in a 4-1 FA Cup defeat to Liverpool, however with a Covid-19 outbreak the entire team was a youth side who exceeded expectations.
Head to Head
Wycombe have lost just once in the last seven outings between the two sides, however the last two results have been draws in the 2017/18 League Two campaign.
First meeting in 2000, Chairboys have won nine of the 20 meetings compared to Exeter’s five wins.
Odds
According to Sky Bet, at time of writing, Exeter are 5/2 to topple higher division opposition while Wycombe are 10/11 to get into the next round of the competition.
