Derby County manager Wayne Rooney believes that Wycombe ‘deserved the victory’ after his side defeated Wanderers 2-1 at Adams Park.
Andre Wisdom scored an injury-time winner to snatch all three points for the Rams in a match which Derby were dominated by the Chairboys.
The former Premier League side went ahead in the first-half when Uche Ikpeazu scored an own goal by heading Martyn Waghorn’s corner past Ryan Allsop, before he made amends three minutes into the second half by equalsing with a penalty.

The Ugandan forward had several more chances to score for the hosts, but he was denied on three occasions by Rams keeper David Marshall, who was by far Derby's best player.
It looked like both clubs were going to get a point each but in the 93rd minute, Waghorn's free-kick hit the post before Wisdom smashed in the rebound.
The defeat for Wycombe means they stay bottom of the Championship and are now 10 points from safety, whilst Derby move six points clear of the drop zone.
Speaking after the match, Rooney said: “I thought Wycombe played well as they played to their strengths.
“They used their big striker [Ikpeazu] who is physical and he made it tough for our defenders at times.

“I felt there were a few easy free-kicks that we gave away but I know it is difficult as he is a very powerful player.
“Wycombe have done what we probably expected them to do.
“They put balls in the box, their full-backs did well going forward and at the right times and Wycombe deserved the victory tonight.
“I think there is no doubt in saying that.
“I would have been pleased going away with a point so I’m delighted to go away with a point.
“We didn’t perform well enough and we have to look at that.”
It was the third time this season that Wycombe had conceded an injury-time winner.
Up next for Wanderers is an away trip to Millwall on Saturday at the Den, before a home match against promotion-pushing Reading on February 23.
They end the month with a home fixture against high-flyers Norwich City on February 28.
