Wycombe striker Scott Kashket believes a victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup fourth round could help the club’s ‘confidence’.
The Chairboys have only won four matches in all competitions this season and are currently bottom of the Championship.
But with two wins from their last three matches, which includes the third round victory over Preston North End in their previous game, the 24-year-old hopes Wanderers can cause an upset against Jose Mourinho’s men on Monday night.
He said: “If we beat Tottenham, we will go into every league game believing we can beat anyone so confidence wise, it will be massive if we get a result.
“It will be ideal if we beat Tottenham, Sheffield Wednesday beat Everton, and you would like to think it will be an easy game against Wednesday, but in a one-off game, it doesn’t matter who you play against as anyone can win any game.”
The ex-Orient man also hopes that Spurs come to Adams Park in full force and that they play their ‘strongest 11’.

In the previous round against non-league Marine, big-name players such as Lucas Moura, Toby Alderweireld, Moussa Sissoko and Gareth Bale all appeared, whilst Son-Heung min was an unused sub.
Currently, it is not known if England captain Harry Kane will travel to Bucks on Monday night, but with Spurs taking on their Premier League title rivals in Liverpool just three days later, it could be suggested that Mourinho may alter his squad for the tie.
But for Kashket, who grew up supporting the North London side, he is hoping for the big guns to step onto the Adams Park pitch, so that he can test himself against some of the world’s best.
He continued: “Personally, I would like Tottenham to play their strongest 11 if they could.
“They have got top defenders so for me, I would like to test myself against some of the best in the world and see what I can do against them.
“Also, I want to show myself what I can do and, in a way, test myself.
“Looking at them, he [Mourinho] never puts out a weak team.
“He never underestimates teams as he is not that sort of manager as you saw the respect he gave Marine - he could have put out a much weaker team be he didn’t.

“For me, this will be a good test and I am trying to prepare myself for their defenders, look at what their forwards are doing in the game and hopefully learn and improve.”
The match on Monday kicks-off at 7.45pm.
