Wycombe manager Gareth Ainsworth hopes fans and residents across the town will be able to purchase the new Christmas charity single he is on.

‘Drawing Straws’, which features the gaffer as a joint-vocalist with former Chelsea and Arsenal keeper Petr Cech on drums, was written by singer-songwriter Ian Wills (Wills & The Willing).

It looks back at what 2020 has brought to the world, with all the proceeds going to Dementia UK.

Speaking after the 1-0 defeat against Stoke City on December 2, Ainsworth said: “It is a really great tune.

“I am loving the tune and hopefully people will start listening to it.

“I’m going to say you’re a bad person if you don’t buy it!

“It has got the NHS in it, it has got Captain Tom, Marcus Rashford, and all that sort of stuff and it is a catchy tune.”

Finally, when asked if he would rather have Wycombe in the Premier League or achieve a Christmas number one, Ainsworth quickly responded back with: “Oh come on, Wycombe in the Prem!”
