Wycombe manager Gareth Ainsworth has stated that the alleged 'time wasting' his side have been accused of this season ‘is not deliberate’.
The 47-year-old was speaking after the Chairboys drew 0-0 with Brentford at Adams Park, which was their eighth point of the campaign, as well as their second clean sheet of the season.
The result means Ainsworth's men are 22nd in the table and are just one point away from getting out of the relegation places.

However, some have speculated that Wycombe are purposefully slowing down games to gain an advantage.
This has been refuted by Ainsworth who said: "The energy that my boys put in…if my boys walk to take a throw-in, then they’ll walk to take a throw-in to get their breath back.
“It's not deliberate, we never work on it, if it is upsetting people, then too bad.
“We’re happy, it’s in the referee’s hands and I thought the referee refereed the game really well today [against Brentford].
"There were a couple of tackles that could have been punished even more and at the end, there was the fracas, but I thought he dealt with that well.
“I’m happy with that.
“People would be frustrated to be fair when they don’t beat Wycombe and I say that in a respectful way.

“People do expect us to be in this relegation battle but we've got other ideas.
"We’re going to keep upsetting this apple cart as much as we possibly can as we want to stay in the Championship.”
Up next for the Chairboys is another home match, this time against Huddersfield Town on Tuesday evening.
