Wycombe Wanderers' first signing since being promoted to the Championship has been confirmed, as the Chairboys have signed former Reading, Crewe Alexandra and Cambridge United striker, Uche Ikpeazu.
The 25-year-old joins the Adams Park outfit from Scottish side Hearts on a three-year-deal.
In two seasons, he scored 10 goals in 55 appearances for the Tyncastle Park side.
Manager Gareth Ainsworth said: “Uche is a player I’ve always admired, going right back to the start of his career with Reading and Watford’s under-23 sides, and I’m delighted that the time has come for us to bring him to Wycombe Wanderers.

“We feel he’s perfectly suited for the way we play and being part of this squad will get the best out of him. He’s quick, strong, holds the ball up well and will score goals for us too.
"He gives us another option up front and no doubt will learn a lot from Adebayo Akinfenwa who has done a phenomenal job for us in a similar role over the past four years.
“We are working so hard to get this squad as strong as it can be for the new season. We’ve been knocked back on some of our targets but Uche is one I really wanted to bring here and it’s great to get the deal over the line, with hopefully more to come soon.”

After starting his career off at Reading in 2010, he left the club in 2013 after failing to make a single first-time appearance for the club.
During his time with the Royals, he spent some time on loan at non-league Didcot Town in the 2011/12 season.

He later moved to Watford but like at Reading, he did not play a single first-team game for the side, but instead, was loaned out on various occasions.
The young striker had spells at Doncaster Rovers, Port Vale, Blackpool as well as three loan moves to Crewe.
He finally got a move away from the Hornets in 2016 where he joined Cambridge United.

It was the first time in his career he played a first-team game for a club he was permanently at, and during his two years at the U's, he scored 22 goals in 80 games.
He then moved to Hearts in 2018, where he was part of the squad that reached the Scottish FA Cup Final in the 2018/2019 season, in which they lost to Celtic 2-1, where Ikpeazu played the final 12 minutes.
He will wear the number nine shirt for Wanderers.
