WYCOMBE Judo Centre had members competing in the 2020 British Schools Championships at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield.
Sam and Harri Elliott both won in all nine of their fights and the brothers returned home as British Schools Champions.
Sam attends the Sir William Ramsay School in High Wycombe and Harri the Carrington Junior School in Flackwell Heath.
Joe Chraniuk of the John Hampden Grammar School also fought his way to a well-deserved bronze medal in his last year competing in the championships.
- HIGH Wycombe Judo Centre attended the inaugural Northern Home Counties area awards and was presented with the Chairman’s Award for its services to judo.
Bill Nobbs is a director and coach at the club and received the Honorary Life Membership of British Judo Association for his contribution to the sport over the last 60 years.
Antony Ashton took home the male Masters Player of the Year Silver Award, Sam Chraniuk the female Masters Player of the Year Bronze award and Sam Elliott the Cadet of the Year Silver award
