Wycombe Wanderers manager Gareth Ainsworth attended the funeral of Chairboys fan Mark Bird.
The 46-year-old went to Mark’s funeral on the afternoon of Friday, February 28, one day before the Chairboys travelled to the Keepmoat Stadium to face Doncaster Rovers.

Ainsworth paid his respects to the 62-year-old who suffered a heart attack at Adams Park an hour before Wycombe’s match against Blackpool on January 28.
Mark sadly died in hospital that evening.
Friends and family congregated for Mark’s funeral at Amersham Crematorium on Friday before heading back to Adams Park for a reception, with guests encouraged to wear the Wanderers’ colours of light and dark blue.

Gareth Ainsworth was joined at both the funeral and reception by new chief financial officer Pete Couhig, before the pair travelled by train to Doncaster for the Blues’ League 1 fixture on Saturday.
Wycombe lost the match 3-1.
