But Ainsworth is sure that the 23-year-old fan favourite will play on Tuesday night.
Onyedinma was an unused sub in the 3-1 victory against Bristol Rovers on Saturday.
Speaking after the win against Rovers, Ainsworth said: “Fred is going to be a huge player for us in the run-in.
“He is an enormous player for us.
“There are certain players that are better than League One in my squad and he is one of them.

“He has played in the Championship before so to have him back is superb.
“I didn’t realise I didn’t have to put him on as I thought he might have been needed near the end to change the game or win the game, but, he was happy being a bystander which gives us more time for him to get more fitness.
