BBC Breakfast presenter and long-time Wycombe Wanderers fan Bill Turnbull made a grand appearance at Adams Park for the 1-0 win over Exeter City on Saturday.
The 60-year-old is set to leave the breakfast news show after 15 years of keeping the nation informed as they fight back the sleep and wearily consume their morning cups of coffee.
He was joined at the game by TV cameras to film a special feature which will be shown during his penultimate show next week.
The day involved a stirring pre-match team talk, which surely went some way towards helping the Chairboys towards their first home win of 2016.
Turnbull, who is a regular guest on the club’s in-house commentary programme, was also honoured during the half-time interval as he received a signed shirt and took to the mic to address the Adams Park crowd.
He will return to the ground next Tuesday where he will be joined by representatives from the club for a special broadcast.
