Wasps’ duo Matt Mullan and James Haskell both featured as England beat Australia at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday to end their autumn internationals series on a high.
Prop Mullan was introduced after 55 minutes, replacing Joe Marler, whilst Haskell came on for Tom Wood with a couple of minutes remaining in the 26-17 victory.
The pair retained their places in Stuart Lancaster’s squad following their call-ups for the 28-9 triumph against Samoa a week previously.
Haskell started against the Samoans in an occasion which marked the back row’s 50th cap for his country, while Saturday was Mullan’s fifth cap. With national service now over, the duo will be in contention to return to the Wasps’ line-up to face Castres Olympique in the European Rugby Champions Cup at the Stade Pierre Antoine Stadium on Sunday.
