WYCOMBE’s Paralympic hopeful Ben Sneesby will find out in the next fortnight if he has made the team for the Winter Games in Sochi.
Sneesby has done everything he can to make the team, getting his skiing scores down below the qualification level and this weekend he’ll go to Austria for two more races in a final attempt to show the selectors what he can do.
He said: “I’ve done everything I can.
“Points-wise, I’ve got below 130 which is what you need to do to go to the Games.
“I was told recently that if I did that in any event I’d have a good chance of getting selected and I’m at or under 130 in both my technical events so I’m over the moon.”
The team will be announced on January 15, after which there will be a brief window for appeals.
