CHESHAM United dropped to third in the Southern League after holding St Albans to a 2-2 draw.
They were leapfrogged by Cambridge City and drifted five points behind leaders Hemel Hempstead, having played a game more, as Saints hit back to level in the Boxing Day game.
St Albans took a third minute lead but Chesham hit back to lead before the break thanks to goals from both full backs, Toby Little and John Kyriacou.
A second half equaliser ensured honours were shared in a game that saw a pre-match tribute for Ryan Moran, who played for both sides before his death from cancer earlier this year.
Elsewhere Beaconsfield SYCOB beat Slough Town 3-1 as landlords beat tenants at Holloways Park, Ian Davies scored a hat trick as Marlow ended a four game losing streak with a 4-0 win at Ashford, and Chalfont St Peter beat Potters Bar 1-0.
