DAI Young insists Wasps deserved to win against Northampton Saints at Adams Park this afternoon and says he can't understand the last minute penalty that beat his team.
Wasps lost 17-15 after Stephen Myler landed a penalty with the last kick of the game after a collapsed scrum.
Young said: "It took 80 minutes for a scrum penalty to come on the engagement, which is remarkable. We had reset after reset after reset all game and then in injury time we get one scrum goes down and we get penalised straight away.
"I can't see where that's come from."
It was a cruel blow for Wasps, who have suffered a few kicks to the solar plexus already this season.
Young said: "I feel hugely disappointed for the players. We're playing against a top team for the last four or five seasons and one of the best teams in Europe.
"We haven't beaten them for four seasons and with 30 seconds to go we thought we'd done enough.
"We feel hugely disappointed. It's a game we worked hard to win and you don't get many opportunities against Northampton.
"I'm really proud of the players and gutted for them. They did enough to win that game."
