ANDY Murray wannabes will soon be able to hone their skills on improved tennis courts at the Wycombe Rye Lido as work begins on a £50,000 revamp.
A new all-weather surface and floodlights will be part of the three new-look courts at the complex based at The Rye.
Work gets underway on Monday and will take about four weeks to complete, marking the final stage of the site’s overhaul by operators Fusion Lifestyle.
Steve Holt, Divisional Business Manager, said: “This is a further step in completing our redevelopment plans for the Lido, which have so far proved to be a huge success.”
“Everyone who has visited the site since its re-opening has been very impressed with the transformation and membership sales have been good.
“I am sure this will continue as residents realise that the Lido is more than just an outdoor pool for use in the summer”
The Lido was relaunched in the summer following a £2m redevelopment of the old Hollywell Mead outdoor swimming pool.
The facilities include a gym, two exercise studios , a soft play area for children and a café, while the outdoor pool has had a make-over and is now heated.
