DESPITE the fractious economic times, PM David Cameron has promised to solve the pain of elderly folk currently obliged to sell economically and emotionally precious homes, by imposing a £35,000 cap on the costs of care.
The taxpayer will pick up bills above the cap. The Mail estimates this will cost £1.7bn a year.
This is, on balance, good news.
