I DON’T know how many of your readers used to watch the sit-com ‘One foot in the Grave’ with the character Victor Meldrew.
His catchphrase was “I don’t believe it”. Victor always seemed to find fault and complained about virtually everything he encountered. Having seen something recently, am I turning into Victor? Sitting behind a small family car in traffic there were two children with three young women. All three women then proceeded to light up cigarettes.
Only recently there have been Government health warnings on TV concerning the dangers of passive smoking.
In the words of Victor, “I don't believe it.” Unfortunately, there is no humour on this occasion.
