MORE than 100 residents from the Wycombe area got together for the annual PACE walk around the town followed by a picnic and games on the Rye.
One of the organising committee, Zeenat Sheikh, said the event called PACE (Parveen’s Annual Cancer Event) which was held last weekend has raised nearly £5,000 this year.
It is ten years since the committee started fundraising for Wycombe Hospital and Imran Khan’s Cancer Appeal and have now raised nearly £50,000.
The proceeds will go towards Scannappeal’s digital breast screening appeal at Wycombe Hospital to provide equipment to enable Buckinghamshire to offer one of the first fully digital screening services in the country.
