THE hunt has started for a new batch of volunteers to help at the Epilepsy Society’s assessment centre in Chalfont St Peter.
The charity is in urgent need of extra helpers at their information point, to help talk people through the condition.
Regional manager Mary Craig said: “Our charity provides information points for people wanting to know more about epilepsy in the hospitals and health centres throughout the country where neurologists hold their clinics.
“We work hard to make sure people affected by epilepsy have access to information about the condition and the issues surrounding it and we desperately need people to man the information point at Epilepsy Society’s Chalfont Centre in Chesham Lane on Tuesdays.
“I would love to hear from anyone who thinks they may be able to help people with epilepsy. You don’t need knowledge about epilepsy as all volunteers attend a two day training programme. All we ask is that you’re a good listener, keen to help, enjoy meeting people, are happy to learn new skills and can commit to helping Epilepsy Society for at least a few hours a month.”
