RESIDENTS will get a chance to quiz their representatives over a bold new vision for Marlow next month.
A ten year plan has been drawn up by Marlow Town Council, with a wide range of ideas to improve the area such as a literary festival.
Marlovians have been able to take a look at the proposal on the internet but now will get the opportunity to discuss the project in person at two public meetings.
Councillors hope to gauge opinion about the plans and will make a small presentation.
Other ideas include a new business tsar, a drinking fountain and creating a group to investigate the regeneration of empty and run-down areas like the Portlands Alley.
The council also wants to make the town more pleasing on the eye with an emphasis on extra greenery, more trees, floral displays and hanging baskets.
Mayor Jocelyn Towns said: "We intend to engage widely with all those who share our objectives to maintain and enhance Marlow as the most attractive riverside town in the Thames Valley - and one of Britain’s most successful small towns."
The meetings take place on Saturday 1 September and Saturday 15 September, 10am to midday in All Saints Parish Hall, The Causeway.
