RE: A.Weeden’s letter on Potholes on our roads (‘Bucks roads are worse than third world ones’, July 6), I agree with him!
For once I’m going to support Bucks County Council. When the leadership was under Councillor David Shakespeare, his council sent out questionnaires, over the years, telling us cuts had to be made, a list of services, and you made your choice of cuts.
I didn’t vote for less maintenance on our roads but, Mr Editor, the majority did. County council carried out voters’ wishes.
Now the holes are getting bigger and better, so is the ground swell, to complain, the apathy of these people to complain, local issues such as this, doesn’t surprise me? They fluffed it. Suffer in silence, or do the same as me, put pen to paper and put ink on it.
There is an old English saying Mr Editor, “You can please people some of the time, but not all of the time.”
