MARLOW Museum organisers have been bemused by the lack of interest in a new sporting exhibition.
The Pound Lane museum wants to create a display of Marlow’s sporting champions, Olympians, national and international winners plus names of top class officials, coaches, together with pictures and the story of the chosen athletes.
Acting Chairman Mike Hyde expected a wave on enthusiasm off the back of the Olympic fervour that has swept the nation.
He said:"You would think that all our sports clubs and senior schools would be more than happy to promote their champions and their sport.
"But of the sports clubs from which I could identify a contact and have written to last month, only one has contacted me.
"We have blank display boards for photos and empty display cases for memorabilia that need to be filled in the next few weeks."
If you are or your club is interested contact Mike on 01628 4585474 or email michaelahyde@uwclub.net.
