AS TIME Goes By actor Geoffrey Palmer opened a new charity book shop in Princes Risborough.

He officially opened the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home shop selling second-hand books, music and film in the High Street.

It will be managed by Lorna Mackay, who also manages the charity’s other shop in the town at 5, Market Square.

She said: “I’m personally very excited about this new venture as it’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long while. Books have always been so popular at the Princes Risborough shop so we know there is a demand in the town.

“Now we will be able to stock even more books, along with an increased number of DVDs and CDs offering great bargains to the public. It will also free up space in the shop at 5 Market Square so that we can extend the range of quality items on offer there too.”
