A PHONE mast is to be put up in Chalfont St Peter following a successful appeal.
Plans for a 13.8m telecommunications mast were rejected by Chiltern District Council last year, with the authority citing its disruption to the "visual amenity and character of the locality".
But it can now be built on Rickmansworth Lane in the village after a planning inspector ruled in favour of the applicant at a subsequent appeal.
The inspector noted the mast would blend in with an adjacent business and nearby trees would 'soften' the backdrop.
