A 40-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested after a collision in Flackwell Heath yesterday.
Officers said a man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving while under the influence of drugs or drink. He has been released on bail until August 16.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident. They said a silver BMW was travelling up Treadaway Hill, towards Swains Lane, at about 2.30pm and was involved in a collision with a blue Volvo S40, which was driving in the opposite direction.
The Volvo’s front seat passenger, a 66-year-old woman, sustained serious injuries and was taken from the scene by air ambulance to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.
The driver of the Volvo, a 70-year-old man and a six-year-old child, who was a passenger in the vehicle, were taken to Wexham Park Hospital.
The driver sustained fractures and the child escaped with minor injuries. A passenger from the BMW had minor injuries that did not require hospital treatment.
The road was closed until 7.30pm.
