A TENNIS coach in Marlow is looking forward to a surge in enthusiasm for the sport following Andy Murray's remarkable Olympic gold medal triumph.
Murray defied his underdog tag to overcome the game's greatest ever player – Roger Federer- in the final at Wimbledon.
And he also grabbed a silver alongside Laura Robson in the mixed doubles.
The success was the hot topic of conversation at Pound Lane based Marlow Tennis Club last week.
The glory has come at a good time for the organisation, which has just opened fully refurbished courts.
Coach Justin Cook hopes the Olympic success tied in with the new facilities will attract more players in Marlow.
He said: "With this and the courts it will definitely boost tennis in the town."
