RE: The BFP survey which asked interviewees whether climate change had caused the freak weather – I’D like to say a big well done and thank you to Eric Alexander for his clarity, tenacity and resilience, in your letters column, on a topic of such vital importance to us all (Letters, July 27 – ‘This explains weather’).
I’D like to say a big well done and thank you to Eric Alexander for his clarity, tenacity and resilience, in your letters column, on a topic of such vital importance to us all (Letters, July 27 – ‘This explains weather’).
And to make a few predictions: some stormy pseudo-scientific puffed-up official denials of all climate reality? Plus some less stormy but equally damaging man-made fog of doubt, from local ‘hail fellow well met’ types.
Thankfully they won’t stop the truth from breaking through the thick mist, in 2012. And, as Eric has pointed out, we can all, freely and independently, Google anything we wish for ourselves, via the internet. When you inspect the summary of the Berkeley Earth study for example, released last week, you will be left in no doubt whatsoever http://berkeleyearth.org Interestingly this study set out to confirm the claims of climate sceptics, but ended up with all the scientists concluding that all the usual sceptics claims were quite groundless.
But most of us knew that.
