A LIONS club donated £50 to a cleft lip and palate charity after money was stolen out of a collection tin in a pub.
As reported in December, Ana Hobbs was left fuming after a tin she had placed in The Crown in Hazlemere was tampered with and the money taken.
She had put the tin there to raise money for CLAPA (Cleft Lip and Palate Association) as her daughter, Abi, was born with a cleft palate just over a year ago.
Along with friends and family she helped raise money over eight months, including placing tins in three places.
Having read the story The High Wycombe Lions Club donated £50 to CLAPA and Ana said she has had more positive responses from the article.
She said: "We had some great feedback and got people talking and donating which was fantastic. We got about £200 off the back of the story and we reached a total of £2540 which was amazing."
There is still time to donate. Click on the link below.
