Regular readers will know that I am not one to shy away from discussing and raising awareness of delicate topics on my blog.

Over the years yours truly has ended up in hot water several times as a result of my views and comments but there are some things that just have to be discussed.

The other day I was shocked to read a news article on a national news site which said that approval has been given for abortion clinics to advertise on the television and radio.

What is our society coming to if abortion is to be advertised like perfume or packets of breakfast cereal?

What could be more distasteful than allowing places that specialise is snuffing out human life before it has even started to spread their message into the living rooms of the country?

As far as I am concerned television and radio is an entertainment medium and there should be a strict limit on what can and can't be advertised on it and those guidelines should be based on strong moral principles.

The very fact that abortion factories exist in the first place and have become widespread is a sign of the breakdown of the moral fabric in our country.

At the moment there are just thirty five private clinics in the UK that offer abortion and thankfully there are no such centres in Wycombe.

The nearest one is at least ten miles away from Wycombe but if society continues to degenerate and their business builds up through advertisements it's only a matter of time before one springs up in our town.

Under the old advertisement rules there has been just one advert aired for an abortion clinic and that was back in 2010. It prompted 4,500 complaints.

Its a mad world when there are so many couples desperately wanting to have children yet on the other hand our society is allowing adverts from abortion clinics. In fact I think rather than publicising abortion it should be outlawed completely.

Will the adoption of children will be advertised in a similar way? Probably not.

Thankfully I do not have a television set in my home but I do sometimes listen to the radio and the last thing I want is adverts like that coming into my drawing room.

Step by step our society is going down the pan and the advertisement of abortion is yet one more example of our journey into the abyss.

Before we know it they will be permitting suicide clinics to advertise too....

What do you think?
