COUNTY council bosses will meet today to decide whether to approve controversial plans to redevelop the High Heavens tip in Booker.
Buckinghamshire County Council’s planning committee will run the rule over proposals for a waste transfer station at the Clay Lane site.
The Conservative controlled council wants to build the facility as part of wider plans to build a waste incinerator in Calvert in the north of the county.
However, it will create an estimated 158 vehicle movements per day, including HGV journeys, leading to concerns over traffic and noise (see links).
The council’s planning committee will meet in Mezzanine Rooms One and Two at County Hall in Aylesbury at 10am.
