A THIEF stole a handbag from a 53-year-old woman in Bourne End on Saturday.
At about 8.10pm the victim was walking on the footpath between Wakeman Road car park and Cores End Road, Bourne End. She was approached from behind and had her bag snatched off her arm by a white man. After a small tussle, the offender grabbed the bag and ran towards the car park.
He stole a multi-coloured dark plastic handbag, a black Samsung D600 mobile phone, a grey plastic purse, keys with a crystal ball keyring and £20.
The offender is described as a white man, in his late teens to early twenties and wearing a black hooded jumper.
PC Richard Martin, from Marlow police station, said: “This were clearly frightening incident for the victim. Fortunately she did not suffer any injuries.
“I am keen to speak to anyone who was in this area at the time and witnessed the incident.”
