HIGH Wycombe lawyers have caused a splash raising money for charity.
In an effort to raise money for charities in the area, solicitors from Bruce Lance & Co took part in a sponsored swim, held at Magnet Leisure Centre.
The team, named Dicko’s Dolphins after team captain Keith Dixon, comprised of eight members of the firm ranging from a trainee solicitor to a senior partner.
The swim involved a non-stop relay with more than 100 teams hoping to contribute to a range of charities.
Bruce Lance and Co raised more than £1,000 for their chosen charities- South Bucks Hospice in High Wycombe, which is raising money for a new hospice, and the Maidenhead Lions Club.
Dicko’s Dolphins swam to victory and were awarded a bonus prize of £200 by the organisers of the event.
Overall, the event was a huge success with more than £22,000 being raised on the day- with the £30,000 target expected to be reached when sponsorship money is collected.
