AS an exiled native of Buckinghamshire, but one who frequently visits relatives in the Wycombe area, I have always been pleased, on arriving by train at Bourne End station that a connecting bus was always available to take me onwards towards High Wycombe.
However, since November 2011 this has all changed.
Arriva buses now leave at 47 minutes to the hour, two minutes before the train from Maidenhead arrives, so I now have to wait until 15 minutes past the hour for a Carousel bus or 17 past the hour for an Arriva bus, thus adding at least 30 minutes to my journey.
Whilst it is obvious from the current timetable that there is now a reduced service, why remove the connection with the train? I have written to Arriva to point out their error, but they have not answered my letter. It would seem they are not interested in keeping this particular passenger happy.
