THE man who died after being hit by a train near Marlow railway station has been named.
The Buckinghamshire coroner's office has confirmed the accident victim was William Taylor, 77, of Laburnham Close, Marlow.
The cause of death given was head injury.
Police said he was hit by the 1.06pm service from Marlow to Maidenhead last Wednesday, near a foot crossing between Gossmore Lane and Fieldhouse Lane.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
British Transport Police said the death is not being treated as suspicious.
The line between Marlow and Maidenhead was closed after the incident.
