A MAN and a woman were attacked with a hammer as burglars forced their way into a property in High Wycombe last night.
At about 7pm three men, who were armed with a kitchen knife and a hammer, forced their way into a property in Mahoney Court, Oakridge Road, after one of the victims answered the door.
The burglars demanded money from the occupants.
The victims, a 35-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman, were both attacked with a hammer and were taken to Stoke Mandeville Hospital. They suffered bruising and the woman also suffered a suspected fracture to her cheekbone.
The men made off with a laptop and a quantity of cash.
Two of the men were white and one was black, who was very short, possibly around 5ft. They were all wearing dark clothing with their hoods up or bandanas covering their faces.
Investigating officer Det Con Thomas Gregory, of Force CID in High Wycombe, said: “This was a frightening ordeal for the victims, who were both attacked with a hammer and suffered injuries as a result.
“I would like to speak to anyone who saw the men in the area of the property around the time of the incident, as well as anyone who knows the identity of the offenders.”
