ANOTHER angry motorist caught out by the confusion of the Sainsbury's car park ticket machine has come forward demanding her fine be quashed.
Margaret Pike from Bovingdon Green, Marlow, also got slapped with a £50 penalty for parking at the council run Central car park behind the new West Street store in December.
Initially, the machines printed two pieces of paper – a refund voucher and a parking ticket.
But they were changed to print everything in one strip after complaints to Wycombe District Council about the system being confusing.
Mrs Pike said she unknowingly displayed the supermarket discount voucher, which looked like a parking ticket, just as Stan Samek, who was featured in last week's MFP had done.
She wrote: “I challenge WDC to disclose how much revenue it took from parking fines from Sainsbury's car park in Marlow during the first week of the new store opening. I was also caught out.
“Despite changing the machines we still can't get a refund.”
WDC said it is one of the busiest car parks in Marlow, used by 24,000 drivers in December.
Spokesman Catherine Spalton said due to time and potential cost the request for how many fines were issued has been put through the Freedom of Information Act.
WDC Leader, Marlow's Cllr Alex Collingwood, said: “I can appreciate that anyone issued with a parking ticket, whatever the circumstances, is unlikely to be happy about it.
“I would encourage anyone who is unhappy with the circumstances around a ticket being issued to them to follow the appeals process."
