THE landlady of the Disraeli Arms in Wycombe Marsh wants to reassure residents it is business as usual after a man was shot at a bus stop up the road from the pub on Saturday.

The pub was part of a police cordon from Saturday evening to Sunday as officers investigated the area after a 20-year-old man was shot in the lower leg as he stood at a bus stop in London Road, Wycombe Marsh at about 6pm.

Landlady Kerry Fossey said she called an ambulance for the victim.

The 33-year-old took over the pub with her partner, Ian Burgess, 46 about six weeks ago.

She said: "We want to reassure residents that the pub is up and running as a family community pub.

"We have only been here six weeks. We want to change the reputation that the pub had before.

"It is a family pub with food and entertainment at the weekend."

The couple were previously running a pub in Luton and have moved to the area with their family.

Police said the victim remains in a stable condition in hospital and said it may be linked to disorder at the junction of Gayhurst Road and Baring Road in the Micklefield area at about 5pm on Saturday. (See link below).

Twelve people, all male and aged between 12 and 18- years-old, have been arrested. Eight were released on bail on Sunday evening, and four remain in police custody.

If you can help with the investigation, call police on 101 or call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800555111.
