AN ELDERLY man who police said had seemed confused and forgetful in recent days has gone missing.
Benjamin Smith, 74, of Highfield Avenue in Booker was last seen at around midnight on Thursday.
He had been staying at a friend’s caravan on a farm in Gatemoor Lane in the Woodburn Moor area of High Wycombe.
Mr Smith is around 5ft 8ins tall, of slim build, with a grey beard. He was wearing a blue jumper, grey flannel trousers and black trainers.
PC Sean Campbell, who is investigating, said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for his safety, as he went out without a coat, and had seemed confused and forgetful in recent days. I strongly urge him to contact us to let us know he is safe.”
Mr Smith is known to visit pubs in the High Wycombe and Wooburn Green areas. If you know of his whereabouts or have information which could help the inquiry, please call Thames Valley Police via the 24-hour Enquiry Centre on 101.
