GRAFFITI was removed, alleyways were cleaned and litter was cleared up by a group of community conscious residents and their children.
The householders from the Bowerdean area of High Wycombe took to the streets on Bank Holiday Monday to give it a fresh, clean look for the New Year.
Councillor Julia Wassell said: “Residents have been successful in gaining funding for new traffic lights with pedestrian crossings, so they were clearing up the area around the traffic lights in anticipation.
“Underwood Park has also been cleared up and its famous owl given a new coat or plumage of silver paint.”
Arline Houston, Chair of the group, said she was delighted by the amount achieved at the event.
