FORMER Test cricketer Henry Olonga will be making a guest appearance in Chesham tomorrow morning.

He will be giving a talk at the Men’s Breakfast in St Mary’s Church Rooms in Church Street at 8.15am.

Olonga was the first black player to represent Zimbabwe when he made his debut in 1995, helping his country to their first-ever Test victory in that match.

He achieved international recognition, along with team mate Andy Flower, in 2003 by wearing a black armband in a Cricket World Cup match to protest against the policies of Zimbabwe’s government, led by Robert Mugabe. It led to his retirement from international cricket after a warrant for his arrest on treason charges was issued.
