PROPOSALS to transform the historic Clock House building in Frogmoor into student accommodation have been rejected.
Members of Wycombe District Council’s Planning Committee threw out plans to convert the former theatre into accommodation for Buckinghamshire New University students.
Cllrs said last night that the plans were not acceptable due to a lack of amenity space and a lack privacy for potential tenants in some of the 35 proposed rooms.
Members also expressed concerns over parking, the proposed pedestrian access, security and feared the accommodation would have a detrimental effect on Frogmoor - which the council is desperate to regenerate.
