ROTARIANS in Princes Risborough raised the highest amount ever during their street Christmas collection.
The Rotary Club of Princes Risborough took to the streets in the town with amplified carol music and Father Christmas to raise more than £2,500.
President Walter Adams said: "We really must thank the truly generous population of the Risborough area for their donations as well as M&S, Rowlands Pharmacy and Tesco for their support. The donations will be used wisely by Rotary Club of Princes Risborough mainly for local charities in the coming year."
Among local organisations receiving support are the Senior Citizens Theatre Outing, Autism Bucks, Risborough Carers, SKIDZ, Iain Rennie Hospice at Home and Princes Risborough School. National and international charities include RNIB, Women's Cancer Fun, Mercy Ships, AquaBox, Polio Plus, Shelter Box, Water Aid and Northern Flood Appeals.
