RAIL commuters heading into London can expect delays after three trees fell on to the tracks at Gerrards Cross.
Chiltern Railways says engineers are working “as fast as possible” to restore services to normal – but warned of alterations, cancellations and delays at short notice.
The rail firm’s official Twitter feed states that services into London Marylebone are now “beginning to move” but trains will have to “move with caution” at Gerrards Cross.
This will cause “knock on delays” throughout the day. A witness at the scene said a tree had “got stuck underneath a train”.
