THE names of two people seen in CCTV footage connected to the shooting of a teenager are still needed by police – despite a television appeal last night.
This afternoon officers revealed they have had a good response providing background details to the crime, which left Khalil Hogan, 15, with serious leg injuries.
But the most crucial information – the identities of the people seen in these pictures below – is still being sought by police.
The Wycombe schoolboy was shot in both kneecaps on his doorstep in Challener Road in March, leaving 100 pellet fragments lodged in his legs.
Ch Insp Joe Kidman, leading the investigation, said: “We had a good response after our appeal on Crimewatch last night and I would encourage you to look at the moving CCTV images to see if you can recognise the people in them.
“We have had people contacting us to tell us more about the background to the incident but we still really need to know the names of the two people in the CCTV seen approaching Khalil’s home moments before he was shot.
“I am confident that there is someone out there who knows who has done this and recognises the people in the CCTV images and I need them to contact us now.
“Someone has the vital information that we need to bring those responsible to justice for Khalil and his family.”
Chief Inspectpr Colin Seaton will be live on line through Twitter from 6pm until 8pm to answer any questions about police issues and encurage people to come forward for shooting cctv.
