A 14-YEAR-OLD boy was punched in the head and had an egg thrown at him in Wycombe Marsh last night.
He had been approached by a group of teenagers in Nelson Close at about 7.45pm, who became verbally abusive and demanded he hand over his mobile phone.
Police said an egg was thrown from the crowd, which hit his neck, and he was also punched on the temple after handing over the phone.
There were about 14 males in the group, aged from about 17 to 19. Eleven were Asian, two were black and one was white, while the male who threw the punch at the victim was black, officers said.
The boy was taken to Wycombe Hospital where he received treatment for mild concussion.
Anyone who witnessed the incident should call PC Neil Elliot on 0845 8 505 505 or the Crimestoppers charity, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
